Priscilla Castro

On August 16th, 2021, 32-year-old Priscilla Castro was reportedly last seen leaving the Oakland California area and heading to Vacaville that evening for a date with someone she had met online. That person was later identified as Victor Serriteno. A couple of days later, on August 18th, 2021, Priscilla’s family reported her missing to Oakland PD when she didn’t come home and her social media accounts were nonactive. A few hours after she was reported missing, a call was made to the Vacaville PD of an abandoned vehicle on Bush Street in Vacaville that was revealed to be the car belonging to Priscilla. A week later, Oakland police put out a bulletin for her whereabouts. Vacaville PD was also tracking down GPS pings from her cell phone and license plate reader data as well as reviewing footage of her route to Vacaville. It led them to a remote location at the end of Lake Berryessa.

It was recently a place that was hit by LNU Complex fires. Priscilla’s body was discovered there but the police did not know if Serriteno set her on fire or if her remains were burned during the wildfire. Text messages and other evidence pointed towards Serriteno being the last person to see her alive, he admitted to seeing her that day and claimed they parted ways and he hadn’t seen her since. He was later booked into Solano County jail on a no-bail warrant. The manner of her death is still unknown but the coroner has ruled it a homicide.

Priscilla Castro was a beautiful and loving woman who had dreams of opening her own salon one day. She leaves behind a 9-year-old daughter who along with her family will keep her memory alive.
